General

First tab called General allows you to set basic parameters. If any of these fields is left empty then default actions (i.e.: not setting default layer directory will invoke import layer dialog with directory set to root) or no action at all will take place (i.e.: not setting login map path means that upon logging into Earthlight no map will be displayed). If the Inset map path is not defined Inset map will not be displayed, even if set in Map Layout: Controls.

You can also choose between the Grab and Inspect tool in the Initial command field. This field controls what tool will be used as default when a user logs into Earthlight.

In fields presented above, you can define settings which will be selected as default during creating new layers.
