This is a dedicated tool for creating the Web Map Service layer reference along with the database table.

 

Please keep in mind, that the layer reference directory is defined by the Default layer directory set in Global User Settings. If you would like to customise the layer directory, please visit the Web Map Service section at the From Existing Table documentation page.

 

Selecting this tool will display the WMS Setting window consisting of 6 elements:

 

 

  1. Address - here you can provide the service URL and use the Get capabilities button to send the request and acquire the service content.

  2. Version - here you can set the service version. Please leave the field at Auto if you are not confident of the service version.

  3. Layers - the service content will be displayed here after using the Get capabilities button from section 1.

  4. Layer name - this dropdown allows you to select the layer reference name from the Get capabilities request or define your own customised layer name.

  5. Spatial reference system - here you can select the projection available in the feed. Please note that the default projection should be EPSG: 27700

  6. Image format - this dropdown allows you to select the image format delivered to the application server.

 

After filling in all the information simply click OK to create the WMS layer reference after which the confirmation window will be displayed presenting you with the reference directory.
