Sometimes business data are stored in MS Excel file. There is a simple way to import it into Earthlight database – using Create From Clipboard button.

First, open your file in MS Excel and copy whole data into clipboard (Ctrl + C). Notice that the first row should contain column names. These names will become table column names during the import process.

Go to Administration > Create > From Clipboard and use Ctrl+V shortcut (or context menu and Paste) to load your data. Next fill the Layer name box and click Parse.

Now, you should see Import layer dialog. Fill it and press OK to import your data into database.
