How to apply Style Packs to MasterMap layers
When MasterMap layers are created in Earthlight by default they don’t have any styles set. We strongly suggest to apply style packs to these layers to quickly change the way how records are being displayed. This is how just added MasterMap layers look in Earthlight:
and this is how they look with style packs:
To learn how to apply style packs to MasterMap layers please follow the steps below.
- Add all desired MasterMap layers to a map.
- Now open layer properties by clicking a button under the layer name (if you want to apply style pack to layers in just one map) or use Modify tool to open the layer properties and apply the style pack (style pack will be applied each time you add these layers to other maps).
- Go to Display Query/Categories tab. Click More button and select Apply style pack option.
- Style pack selection window will appear. Please navigate to \Resources\Style Packs\. Once you are in correct folder, please select MasterMap and click OK.
- Now you have to select a Layer style (left column). You should always select a style which matches your currently edited MasterMap layer. For instance you should select Topographic Area layer style for TopographicArea layer. Click OK to accept the settings.
- You will now see the styles listed in the Categories tab. Click OK to accept the settings.
- Now you have to repeat all steps for each MasterMap layer you want to use. Once it is done you should see a new completely styled MasterMap.
