Calculate Batch Isochrones
Â
Batch Isochrones tool allows creation of multiple isochrones at once.
Please note, that in the case of multi-geometry layers (multipoint, multiline, multipolygon), the isochrones will be generated from the centroid of all geometries within a single record.
To access the tool, please click on the Generate Isochrone → Batch button:
Within the Calculate Batch Isochrones window, there are following options:
Â
Layer with centres - Starting points for isochrones will be placed at the location of records stored in the centres layer.
Output layer - please specify a MultiPolygon layer in which all isochrones should be saved. Please note that this operation will delete all records in the Output layer before populating it with new isochrones.
Output value column - column from Output layer where Values and Units will be saved.
Locomotion mode - option to set if isochrones should be calculated for Walking or Driving.
Units - determine which units should be used for the operation.
Values - used together with Units to create specified isochrones. Earthlight can create multiple ranges for each isochrone and to do that, please provide value for each range separated by space.
Domain layer - layer containing polygon record/s that could be used to specify barrier for isochrones. Isochrones won’t be reaching outside of the Domain layer area.
Population layer - layer containing population data that could be then saved in Output layer.
Population column - column from Population layer containing the population data.
Output population column - column from Output layer where population data from Population column will be saved. It will show a sum of the population falling into each isochrone range.
Output population % column - column from Output layer where percentage of population for each isochrone range will be saved. The data is calculated based on the data from Population column.
