Creating Read-Only User

To create a Read-Only user for the StatMap GMS application please follow the steps below:
Access the GMS Administration console and open the Users tool.
Select Add and start creating a new user.
Please keep in mind that initially there will only be one user on the list, named gms_user or gms_service. Please do not modify
this account in any way as it is a service account used for:
• communication with GeoPlace,
• exporting COU and FULL extracts of the LLPG data to be used by back-office systems,
• data exchange between the SNN and GMS apps.
The Read-Only user requires the “_viewer” suffix added to the Login field, as seen in the screenshot below.
Please note that even though the Read-Only user does not have access to any of the editing tools is still able to display the potentially sensitive information, which is why it should be protected by a strong password.
After entering the Login with added “_viewer” suffix, Full name, and setting up a password for the Read-Only user simply click Apply. The newly created user will be visible on the list.
Now you will be able to log into the GMS application by providing the credentials set during the user creation. The user will have access to all usual GMS tools, except the Flows console containing editing tools.
