The Gazetteer Management Settings window allows you to set up all parameters of the system.
Gazetteer Defaults
This tab allows you to set up the general information about your organization and data custodian which will be transferred to GeoPlace by DTF metadata.
This tab also contains the following tools:
- Localities And Towns - this tool allows users to edit the list of Localities, Towns and Post Towns. It has been automatically pre-defined based on the source data during deployment so you might only have to use it if you need to add a new locality, town, or post town.
- User Password - this tool provides the possibility for the individual users to change their password at will
- Always require XRefs - controls requirement of at least one XRef to be present when creating a new BLPU
Street Gazetteer Defaults
This tab allows you to set up the general information about the Local Street Gazetteer data custodian which will be transferred to GeoPlace by DTF metadata.

- Id - a two-character abbreviation of the data source
- Source - the description of the source which will be visible on the list when you add XRef information to an address record (see screenshot below)

- Ignored - this data source is ignored and not displayed on the list of available data sources
- ToGeoPlace - controls whether the XRef will be exported to a GeoPlace
Installation Routines
This tab consists of a few configuration functions which are used after initial data upload to refresh various application internal counters and align them with the imported data. These functions are invoked by StatMap staff after the initial data load.
- Assign Wards - this tool allows you to automatically assign wards to properties
- Assign Parishes - this tool allows you to automatically assign parishes to properties
- Assign Provenances - this tool allows you to automatically assign Land Registry polygons to properties that are missing provenance records. It can also add Unmatched circle in radius, an unofficial disk of configurable radius, to properties which don't have provenance records associated with them and there is no intersection between their geometry and any Land Registry record
- Force full address save - allows you to force re-saving the entire address record during the next editing session. To learn how to use this functionality please visit Force full address save guide page.
