From the type of Traffic Regulation Order the application will infer the applicable Restriction. While adding a restriction you will see the business attribute fields on the side pane.
To add a restriction to an order, please click Details button below the order name on the list of orders.
...
When you do it, the view will change and you’ll see:
list of all restrictions within this traffic order;
individual tools for each restriction type which can be added to this order;
guide creation and removal tools, which can be used as a help when drawing restriction geometries
...
To add a restriction to an order, please click the Restriction Type icon from the toolbox.
The side pane will now show information about the restriction. All fields marked with a red stripe next to them are required and only when those fields are filled and at least one restriction geometry is present, the Create button activates.
...
The map will change to show the MasterMap Topographic Line features to help you draw the restriction geometries.
...
By defining the restriction geometry first and only completing the details afterwards, for most cases, you will save yourself having to complete the Street and Side fields as these will be inferred from the location of the geometry by the system. Having the geometry defined might also come handy when defining the From and To descriptions if one of them uses the length of the restriction since this information is provided in the geometry pane during creation. |
You must choose a schedule from the list of all schedules associated with this restriction type.
There are three modes of creating / editing restriction’s geometry in the Geometry section of the pane:
Recreate – click this button to wipe the geometry from the map when you have made a mistake while drawing it. When creating a restriction, you will be assisted by tracing against the OS MasterMap Topographic Line. This makes it easy to draw restrictions alongside road edges.
Redraw – click it when you want to draw the geometry without using the tracing functionality and only being assisted by snapping to the OS MasterMap Topographic Line. Useful for drawing nonstandard restrictions e.g.: parking bays perpendicular to the pavement.
Edit – click here if you want to edit the geometry by moving the individual nodes of the geometry linestring.

When drawing a restriction, to finish the drawing please press the right mouse button and select Finish from the context menu.
...
Important:
To make it possible to determine on which side of the traced road edge the restriction ought to be rendered (for restrictions which are offset from the curb) please make sure that the mouse pointer is on the road and not on the pavement when you start drawing the geometry.
