This tool allows users to reference raster images in .jpg format onto a map using simple corresponding points method. The pane visible below allows users to upload or delete raster images, and start georeferencing process.

To start georeferencing, please, select repository Album for your raster images from a dropdown list. Now click on Upload button at the bottom of a pane, then on Select files to upload in Files upload window and navigate to your raster image.

Please, note that the raster image needs to be in JPEG (.jpg) format.

After your raster file loads, it will appear in Pictures list and will be displayed on a right-hand pane when you double-click on its name. Now you can start setting ground control points (GCP’s) for your georeference process. To do that, please, click Georef button.

Start setting up corresponding points on both sides of a screen (at least 3 corresponding points are needed) and when they are in place, click Process on a left-hand pane.

When the process is finished, your raster image will disappear from a right-hand pane, and appear on the map.

If the referenced image needs correcting, user can always select it, click on Georef and add or move GCP’s by dragging and dropping.
