Tall Building Criteria
In this section, we will explain how you can utilise the StatMap GMS system to create new Parent/Property Shell objects to represent Tall Buildings and to reassign property records to become child records of the newly created parents.
For my example, as you can see in the image below, I've created a new non-addressable BLPU with a PAO_TEXT representing my scenario. In your case this PAO_TEXT will most likely read "FLATS ## to ##"
Please see the recording presenting the rest of the process to make it easier to see the actions performed.
Once this new BLPU exists, I'm adding all properties which I will be reassigning to GMS Clipboard. I'm using Area Selector but you can use whatever tool is more convenient.
When all properties are on the list, I can use the multiselection (hold Ctrl and click individual entries on the list) to select properties 2, 4, 6, and 8.
With the 4 properties selected, I'm dragging the hand icon from the Information Card onto the new parent recordÂ
to drop it on top of its entry on the list
A confirmation dialog is shown asking to confirm that we want to move the properties to become children of the new Parent/Property Shell record.
Finally, the records have not changed their PAO/SAO elements despite now having a parent record.Â
This is the desired effect as described in the explanation provided by GeoPlace.
As you can see below neither the former PAO elements have been demoted to SAO, nor has the PAO_TEXT from the new parent been added to the child records.
I hope this short guide is sufficient to let you satisfy the new regulations regarding Tall Buildings registration.
