Important:
To enable this tool to work correctly the Height Data must be loaded into the map base. Specifically at least the raster layer with height values must be present in the current map. To generate slope profiles also slope layer must exist in the map, in addition to the height layer.
Use this tool to draw a (poly)line on the map of the area which needs profiling. More than one profile can be drawn at any time. To create a profile please select this tool and start placing the profile referencing points.
If you want to finish the draw operation you can use one of two methods:
- You can hold the mouse cursor above the last point and double click to finish the profile:
- or you can use the right mouse button to open the context menu and use the Finish tool located there.
When the draw operation is finished Earthlight will automatically generate a profile number. You can use this number to Delete or Show the profile via other tools.
